A couple of years ago, I planted a seed.
Then I forgot about it.
Life moved on.
Business moved on.
Other priorities took over.
Then out of nowhere, the opportunity resurfaced.
And it needed an answer immediately.
Not eventually.
Not after I had time to think about it.
Not after I felt ready.
Right then.
What surprised me wasn't the opportunity.
What surprised me was how quickly I had to decide whether I was willing to move.
Suddenly, I found myself gathering information.
Evaluating options.
Thinking through logistics.
Trying to determine whether I could make the opportunity work.
Because while I had spent time hoping the opportunity would happen, I hadn't spent much time considering what I would do if it actually did.
Why this matters right now
A lot of ambitious women spend a tremendous amount of time preparing for rejection.
What if they say no?
What if the proposal gets declined?
What if the client doesn't renew?
What if the opportunity never comes?
Those are reasonable questions.
But there's another question that's often overlooked:
What happens if it works?
What happens if the client says yes?
What happens if the introduction gets made?
What happens if the partnership materializes?
What happens if the opportunity you've been hoping for suddenly becomes available?
Opportunity often arrives on its own timeline.
Not yours.
And when it does, it may require action before you feel fully prepared.
Today’s Move
Think about one opportunity you're actively hoping for.
Then ask yourself:
What would happen if I got it tomorrow?
What decisions would I need to make?
What support would I need?
What obstacles would immediately appear?
How quickly could I respond?
This isn't about creating certainty.
It's about increasing your capacity to move.
Because opportunities don't always wait for perfect timing.
Proof it works
Some of the best opportunities in life don't arrive gradually.
They arrive suddenly.
A referral.
An introduction.
A speaking opportunity.
A partnership.
A new client.
A chance that wasn't available yesterday.
And when those moments appear, the question often isn't:
Do I want this?
The question is:
Will I move before I feel fully ready?
Opportunity rarely waits for certainty.
The women who capitalize on opportunities aren't always the ones who feel ready.
They're often the ones willing to move anyway.

One of the hidden costs of hesitation is assuming you'll have unlimited time to decide.
Sometimes you will.
Sometimes you won't.
