Welcome to Wednesday. Safe moves are officially off the table.
There are certain things women have been taught not to talk about.
Money is near the top of the list.
Don't ask what someone earns.
Don't tell people what you make.
Don't talk about how much you charged.
Don't ask what someone paid.
It's private.
It's uncomfortable.
It's impolite.
But I've been thinking about the cost of all that silence.
Because when women don't share money information, somebody still has the information.
The employer knows the salary range.
The client knows what they've paid other consultants.
The investor knows what deals they've offered other founders.
Meanwhile, the woman walking into the negotiation may have far less information about what the opportunity is actually worth.
That's a power disadvantage.
And it's one we can help each other eliminate.
Women like us talk about money.
We talk about salaries.
We talk about rates.
We talk about equity.
We talk about investing.
We tell another woman what the opportunity actually pays.
Because information is leverage.
And women like us don't make each other guess.
Why this matters right now
Think about what happens when another woman tells you:
"I negotiated $___."
"My rate for that is $___."
"They offered me $, and I countered with $."
"There's budget. Ask for more."
"Don't take that deal without asking about equity."
"This is what they paid me, so you know where to start."
Suddenly, you're not walking into the conversation with only your own experience.
You're walking in with hers too.
And when you learn something she doesn't know?
You tell her.
That's collective leverage.
It's also why Huddle Your Teammates is one of the three pillars of The Brazen Code.
Huddling isn't just about encouragement.
It's about making each other more powerful.
Today’s Move
Tell one woman one useful number this week.
Your salary.
Your rate.
A fee you negotiated.
An offer you received.
The amount you countered with.
An investment you made.
The equity you asked for.
You don't have to broadcast your finances to the internet.
You don't have to share information you're legally or contractually prohibited from disclosing.
Just give one woman information you're comfortable sharing that could make her more powerful in her next money conversation.
Thirty seconds.
One number.
More leverage.
Proof it works
Think about the last time someone gave you information you couldn't easily find yourself.
What a client was willing to pay.
What a company had budgeted.
What someone with similar experience was charging.
What was negotiable that you didn't realize was negotiable.
The information itself may have been simple.
But it changed what you knew going into the conversation.
And what you know affects what you're willing to ask for.
That's why information matters.
You negotiate differently when you know more.
Brazen Boost
Information is leverage.
When one woman knows what an opportunity is worth, she can make a more informed decision about what to ask for.
When that information moves through a network of women, we stop forcing every woman to discover the same information alone.
That's Huddle Your Teammates in action.
Not just cheering for another woman.
Giving her information.
Context.
Introductions.
Access.
The things that help her make a more powerful move.
Brazen Law reinforced: Women like us don't make each other guess.
A question to sit with today:
What's one piece of money information you wish another woman had told you sooner?
That's today's move.
Tell another woman what you know. Give her more leverage than you had when you walked into the room.

P.S. - In eight weeks, The Brazen Code arrives.
This book isn't just about helping individual women become more powerful.
It's about what becomes possible when women stop navigating money, power, and opportunity alone.
Over the next eight weeks, I'm going to be sharing more of what it looks like to actually live the Code.
Because this isn't just something I want women to read.
It's something I’m proposing we practice.
One more thing:
One of the pillars of The Brazen Code is:
Huddle Your Teammates.
So put it into practice right now.
Know a woman who's negotiating her salary?
Setting her rates?
Pricing an offer?
Raising capital?
Investing?
Trying to figure out what she should ask for?
Send her this Power Letter.
Better yet, send it with a piece of money information she shouldn't have to figure out alone.
And if she wants the next Power Letter delivered directly to her, send her here:
Women like us don't make each other start from zero.
